The Abecedarian Project is a landmark study of children that began at FPG at UNC in 1967. It is one of the longest running longitudinal studies of children ever conducted.

FPG’s Abecedarian Project was featured in the documentary My Brilliant Brain. The three-part series, explores the inner workings of the human brain. The Abecedarian Project was part of the first episode. The documentary aired on the National Geographic Channel in the U.S. in 2007. This clip is the footage about Abecedarian.

Given the other resolution to make the school board districts match the county commissioner districts, I would suggest that people that live in current BOE district 4 AND current BOC district 5 (precincts - former North Siler City, Albright, Hadley) consider applying for the open seat. District Number Four shall consist of all the territory within the boundaries
30 of the precincts of Bennett, Bonlee, South Siler City, North Siler City,
31 Albright, Hadley, and Hickory Mountain.
